Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

MultiChecker (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at https://multichecker.vercel.app (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Service, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. The Short Version

The inputs you type into our tools are never transmitted to our servers. Every calculation — URL parsing, text analysis, image compression, number crunching — is executed by JavaScript running inside your own browser. When you close the tab, that data is discarded by your browser. We have no database that stores it and no API endpoint that receives it.

The information we do process relates to how the site is visited (analytics) and the advertising that funds it.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect the URLs, article text, product descriptions, campaign figures, colour codes, images, passwords, or any other content you enter into a tool.
  • We do not require an account, email address, or any form of registration.
  • We do not sell personal information to third parties.

3. Information Processed Automatically

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard request data:

  • IP address (truncated or pseudonymised where required by law)
  • Browser user-agent string and device type
  • Referring URL and requested page path
  • Date and time of the request

These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic measurement. They are retained by Vercel in accordance with their own privacy policy and are not combined with any tool input.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use two categories of client-side storage:

  • Essential local storage. A single key, mc-theme, stores your dark/light mode preference so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
  • Advertising and analytics cookies. Set by third parties as described below.

5. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertising supplied by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

6. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used most so we can prioritise improvements. Where analytics are used, they are configured to record page views and referral sources only — never the contents of tool inputs.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA / UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or erasure of that data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Request data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Because we do not store tool inputs and do not operate user accounts, in practice the personal data we control is limited to server logs held by our hosting provider.

9. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Retention

  • Tool inputs: never retained — they exist only in your browser's memory.
  • Theme preference: retained in your browser until you clear site data.
  • Server logs: retained by Vercel for a limited period for security purposes.

11. International Transfers

Our hosting and advertising partners may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism.

12. Security

The Service is served exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS enabled. Because no tool input is transmitted, the attack surface for your data is limited to your own device and browser.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
